Review: AdBux

Overall: Thumbs Down

AdBux is a combination GPT/PTR site.  I had high hopes for this one going in.  It’s an attractive site and it looked very promising.

Viewing the PTR e-mails is easy in a clean and clear window and only takes a few seconds each for most of them - unlike some sites that require you to stay on something you know you don’t want for 30 seconds+.  BUT, after reading 7 e-mails I had amassed a whopping 2.1 cents.  A few of them paid a penny and most paid 0.0015 - which if my math is right, equals about 1/6 of a penny.

As for GPT offers, at present there are 93.  Again, very pretty layout, but many of the offers are what I consider junk - the ones that appear very simple like comparing two candies or claiming a free prize.  Where those lead is to another site that requires a certain number of offers to be completed.

AdBux says that if you refer others you can get up to 150% of their earnings.  Huh?  Yeah, something odd there.  They will also sell you referrals - for $14.95 you can get 10, although at the time I looked there were 0 unreferred members.  Why does the company want to sell you referrals of members they already have?  Yeah, this is sounding very MLMish - injecting people in your downline.

You can upgrade to a premium membership for $3-$5/month which will get you a 50% higher payout on e-mails you read, and a bunch of commissions on what your referrals do.

The minimum amount for payout is $10 by check or paypal.  If you’ve earned at least $10 by the end of the month payment will be issued the 15th of the following month.

If you’re interested in PTR or GPT opportunities, I’d focus my energy elsewhere.  Of course, I’ll keep you posted and let you know if anything changes.
