Tools of the Trade

After being online for years and years (I won’t show my age and say how many) I’ve built up quite an arsenal of tools and resources. Like many others who have been working at a keyboard for awhile, I tend to take for granted and assume that everyone else knows about all these things and has them. But, since I still find new cool stuff everyday, chances are that some of my toys would be new to many people as well.

On to the point… over the next few days I’m going to share with you some of the tools I use in my computing adventures and tell you exactly where to get them, in a series called Tools of the Trade. Best of all, I’m cheap. So, if there is a free or really cheap alternative to get the job done you can bet I’ve found it and will share it with you.

As we go along, if you know of a tool or resource that I don’t list for a particular job, please comment and let everyone know.
