Back to School
Well, it’s official. This August I’ll be returning to school (again.) As some of you know I’m a volunteer firefighter and EMT here in my hometown. I’m going to college to earn a degree in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and more importantly, become a Paramedic.
For anyone not in the know, an EMT provides basic life support and a paramedic provides advanced life support. It requires a lot more training and time investment, but it will be worth it to be able to provide a higher level of care to the community.
Slightly nervous, indeed. But also super excited to go to the next level with something that has become a passion. After God and my wife and kids, EMS is most important to me. I’m blessed and fortunate to have found something that isn’t just ‘what I do’ but part of ‘who I am’.
