I'e never heard about scratchback. Like Tom's idea above! Funny!
I've only been blogging two months now so I'm a bit of a rookie, but for me, the best way to get people to my site has been to pay a bit of money to advertise on Stumbleupon (5 cents a hit), and so far I've been getting more visitors. This is of course due to stumbleupon, but as a result in increased readership, I've had more Google searches and more direct readers.

Hey Bob, I had a paypal donation button on my blog and asked my visitors to buy me a beer if they liked my content.I had no minimum, but I got around $25 per month.Just enough to pay for the hosting.I took it down when I re-designed my blog.I guess, it´s all about traffic and content.
